Question about Replacement Hoses

I'm looking to change my old rubber hoses over to silicone. I'm talking about the hoses that go to the Y-pipe and the intercooler. I have talked to tri-point engineering and they are going to charge me well over $200 (I think it was around $235 or so). I also looked at Pettit and they are charging around $140, but their hoses come with the screw clamps and not the T-clamps. I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at PFS to see what they are charging. Does anyone have any ideas or opinions as to who has the best replacement hoses? I would also appreciate it if someone could give me a ballpark number as to how much these hoses would cost at PFS. Thanks.

Question Silicone hoses?

http://cyber.virtualrep.com/hosetech...54790053208472

I had mine done for $400 labor $100 parts from Rotary Reliability & Racing. The hose they used was way too thin! There are actually different sizes that should be used if you look at the link above. I wish I could have done it myself so it would have been quality and it's sucks I didn't know about hosetecniques beforehand.

i would skip the tripoint kit and just get new couplers unless your actual hoses are cracked or something.

the tripoint kit is a kit that they piece together from samco hoses and some nice clamps. you can get some decent silicone hose (2.75" diameter) at www.bakerprecision.com for about $22 for a foot and cut it into 4 3" couplers while you only need 2. then you can go to home depot and get 4 hose clamps for about $5. you could go fancier and get some aba clamps from baker or t-bolt clamps from www.mcmaster.com but the home depot variety works ok save your $200 and do it this way especially if you plan on upgrading your ic in the future.

Does anyone have the Pettit hoses on their car? If so are they pretty good quality or not. I did a quick estimate of the cost of the hoses and I can't get it for a whole lot cheaper than what Pettit is offering. Not to mention the fact that I need to order a batch of Protek-R fuel lubricant.

If anyone has the Pettit hoses I would appreciate it if you could let me know what quality they are and maybe even a picture if you could post one. Thanks.
