how much does it cost to portout the waste gate???

ok i have a huge problem when i hit the gas, my boost goes flying, i have a downpipe and midpipe on my car for now, dont have cash to do anything else right now, but anyways is there a way that i can prevent the boost from creeping with these two mods?? is porting out the wastegate helpful?? how much does it cost to port it out?? and how long does it take??? is it a days job?

You can port the wastegate yourself. Remove the turbos, port the wastegate, put it all back together.

Total time, about a days worth of work. it will work at controlling boostcreep, overboost. Port as much as you can, but not too much to prevent the door from covering the orifice.

Get a grinder bit for a drill and go to town on it.

I guess if you want to pay somebody, it would cost the removal and reassembly of the turbos, as well the porting. I would guess around $500 to get somebody to do it.

It might be cheaper to get a hi-flo cat instead of the midpipe.

What are you doing with a midpipe and no ECU?

What kind of boost numbers are you getting? Running lean? Hitting fuel cut? Any detonation?
