question about rebuild
i have a motor that was rebuilt by rotary performance with 3mm seals and a mild port, i blew one of the rear apex seal and i was wondering if it could be a quick fix
to just replace the rear seals without taking the whole motor apart, just the rear rotor housing and rear iron.

For tha cost associated with rebuilding half the engine it is not a lot more to do it correctly and rebuild the whole thing. You must have had a major malfunction for it to break the 3mm seals. If it did blow them then you most likely need a rotor and housing as well.

sorry, i didnt in any way try to point finger, its just that sometimes its the first thing people ask is where did you build it.
this was a great build, fantastic porting and sealing. What happend was that the turbonetics t61 blew so i replaced it with a t71 turbo and there was alot more mass even at the same boost that the haltek needed to be retuned. so most likely it detonated.
