I know mazda say use 5w30-or 10w30. I drive for hours in hot weather on a daily basis, stop n go, somtimes long drives on the freeway. Should i use 10-40 or 20-50. I never have to worry about the temp going below 50-60 degrees f. So should i use 20-50 or 10-40 or 10-30. ALso the 10-30 seems to be leaking, wont a thicker oil not leak as much.

 

I live in florida and use 20w-50. Pettit also recommends it.

 

im from the bay area too and i use 20w50 year round. so far ive had no problems.

 

Just one more vote for 20w-50. I use 10w-30 sometimes, but it gets a lot colder here in winter.
