Question about installing Profec B Spec II boost controller...

HI guys I did a lot of research and ended up installing it yesterday and it went pretty good. The car is still in storage so I couldnt tune it to see if everything is working right.

Anyway, after reading a write-up on clubRX, http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=68&mnu=5 , I have a question. When I installed my spec II I only removed 2 lines but in the write up it says to remove 4.

In other words I only romoved the hose to the right in this pictures and not both (like shown in this pic)

Why is the one to the left capped?

I then connected the line from the turbo to the New boost controler valve and from the valve to the wastgate. The line coming out from the waste gate I removed and then capped like this (the 2nd and last line I removed for the install)...

So in short is the way I connected the boost controller Version 1 of the following pictures and the way it is done on the clubRX's how-to Version 2?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just wanted to be 100% sure.

Thanks, J

Hi guys, I just took a look at everything and am 100% sure what I am doing is Version 1 and what is shown on the clubrx write-up is Version 2 so you can just disregard my stupid question above. I should have just taken a closer look before posting this.

Sorry.

Did you cap the lines coming from the stock solenoids?

What I did was remove the line going from the turbo to the wastegat. Then attached one line from the Turbo to the new Boost controller valve (at the "NO" port and then one line from the wastegate to the new boost controller valve (at the COM port). (so basically the boost controller valve went in the middle of the 1st line I removed. I then removed the cap that was one the 3rd port (NC port) and just left that one un-capped with nothing attached to it.

I then removed the line going out of the same waste gate (at the bottom) and capped it at the waste gate and at the line going to the waste gate control solenoid.

Sound right?
