question about dyno set up

My question to you guys.... In a regular piston engine the spark plug fires every 720 degrees of crank rotation per cylinder. How many degrees of E-shaft rotation is there per spark event in a rotary? I think it is 120 degrees, right? I was trying to dyno my car but we couldn't get the tach to read right. Thanks
