Few questions about WBs & Datalogging & PFC & tuning

First off this may be the wrong place, if so I apologize.

Questions:
1. What wideband works best w/a datalogger and the PFC? PLX M300 a good choice? They all seem the same to me.

2. Is there a book/website on how to tune a rotary? I don't know anything about it. No, I'm not able to get anyone to tune it for me and I would like to learn how anyways.

3. From searching the forum it appears the best place to mount the sensor is in the MP, just after it connects with the DP and you leave the stock sensor in the DP. Correct?

4. Is a EGT a nessecary tool in tuning or just optional?

Thanks

I have the PLX R-500, it is nice to have, I use for datalogging and use my laptop to tune the Power FC without datalogit. Any of the PLX widebands should be good, they all have different features so get which ever one that you want, I'd go with the R-500 if I had to buy one again.

That is exactly where my sensor is located and which seems to be the best place for it, yes you can leave the stock sensor alone. I'd have to buy the egt probe to make it work with my R-500, I've just tuned the AFRs, I'd say it's optional since I have been fine without it. I learned how to tune myself after getting the wideband and reading the PFC manual and reading on the forum, didn't have any help, it's relatively easy to figure out if you are some what smart.
