Question about "Chroming" options.
I have a brief question about "chroming" or "polishing" of my muffler. After doing a google and forum search, I'm a little confused about what my options are, so I figured I would just ask.
I have heard a few people say that Harley Dealers will "polish" engine parts, and from what I have seen they will shine pretty well.
Do people "polish" their mufflers/exhaust, or is it possible for them to be coated with a chrome like finish that will withstand the heat?
I would like to make my muffler...
shine and look as sexy as my 18's...
Thank you in advance for any suggestions/advice!

That looks to be a HKS CF Ti exhaust. It's already polished. It just has LOTS AND LOTS of gunk on it. It just needs to be buffed out, and it'll shine like new. You may need some cleaners tho to get rid of the buildup on it...
That is a titanium exhaust... the canister is CF, but the rest is titanium.

Just take off the muffler and scrub it with some kind of solvent and a brillo pad or steel wool. When it was new it was shiney!

What's w/ the 245/40-18 tires? Are you running the same sizes on the front? You know those aren't the proper sizes, right?

I had a guy bring in a similar condition muffler and had it ceramic coated near chrome.
ZERO maintainence. No corrosion, cool to touch on the outside ( he was worried about the tips being so close to the bumper cover and melting it ).

From what I've heard, if you are really looking for just a "polish", 3M's polish is one of the best from what I hear:

I'll be trying it out with my new setup (since I have a lot of polished parts now) when it all goes back together.
