I got my computer running kinda... Here is whats going on. He doesn't want to accept any cash until he has a rough set made. I am sending my cluster out in the next day or so and he will start working on the basic shapes. Until then anyone else is ok for jumping on.

Cool, thanks for the update 7-sins. I definitely want a set, but I'm in no big hurry. Better that he takes time to make it right than hurry through it and they come out sloppy.

i would be interested if the gauges will be recessed like the OEM. I have a set of blackcatcustom gauges and even after several adjustments they rub and drag a little, particularly the speedo. it is wierd when i gun it, and then start slowing down, but the needle is still climbing. do we know if they will be recessed or flat? actually, i don't care about recessed, just as long as they don't rub.

I just sent him another email to check. The last I spoke with him was on the 16th, making sure he recieved the cluster. He said "I will get to work. I'll let you know when I need deposits."

Will we be able to order these from him even after the group buy?
I would like to get some but may have to wait until this winter. I would also like to see them on someone's car first.

Hey Smitty,
that's great. What color combo are you getting?

I'm getting tired of my ricey indiglo gauges. I like the white-faces in the day though.
I'll go with the white-face with white backlight at night. Or if someone does the black-faces with the tinted lenses where they glow during the day, I may do that instead.

The price for his vw gauges were $60 deposit and another $40 when complete. I think the price range will be around the same but he said it might be a little more because of the amount of ElectroLuminescent material used.

No more updates at the moment, he still has my cluster and I am waiting for further info.
