????Push or Pull fan for FMIC????

Is anyone running a Push or Pull fan on a front mount? Either in front of the cooler or sandwiched in between it and the ac condensor. I have read a lot of the threads on the disadvantages of FMIC but never found a direct focus on a fan. Does/Would this compensate and solve the cars cooling problem since airflow seems to be the issue more than air temp passing to the radiator. The set up I am thinking of aproaching would use a tall single side intercooler with a 14" 2400cfm fan that is always on. Opionions or Experience?

Very bad idea. You can't really improve on the OEM fans or setup... Ducting everything properly is as best as you can do with a FMIC.

I'm running with a Greddy FMIC and upgrade radiator with no ducting or tray with the AC condenser in a horizontal position. It runs a few degrees cooler than stock. Still around 104 in traffic with AC on. Stock setup was around 106-108 under similar conditions. On the Highway it's around 99C on a 97F day.

There are a lot of reason why I would like to have a V-mount but the FMIC seemed to me to be the 2nd best choice and about 1K cheaper. In theory that would leave enough left over for duel upgraded oil coolers which would lower the temp further. Anyway in my case the FMIC with a vertical mounted Fluidyne improved my temperature challenges.

I agree that it's a bad idea. But to answer your question, always go with a pull fan.

well if anyone is still reading this thread the setup would be a sandwich of IC,FAN,AC,RAD, FANS I would keep stock fans and improve ducting but wuold have a 2nd continuosly running 14" or 16" fan. Some of the fans I've looked at can pull up to 3400 cfm, thats alot of air.
