pulling the tranny, some q's

im pulling the transmission out of the car, but im having a little trouble figuring out how the shifter comes off. ive got it down to the transmission and removed the 4 bolts that hold it on, but it dosent want to budge. Ive spend my wad so i dont want to pry and break something.

also the clutch line is being a bitch, is their any easy way to remove it or should i plan on replacing the lines?

thanks, mike

oh and another big for ray at malloy on getting me my 5th syncro and shift select!

For the clutch line, if it's not an SS line, I would just cut it and then replace it with an SS line.

As for the shifter, knock it lose with a hammer.

Maybe your dealing with the wrong bolts for the shifter.

The upper shifter boot is held on with 4 nuts on the trans tunnel, the shifter itself is held to the tranny with 3 bolts.

ive got all teh boots off, and i see three bolts around the shifter itself, but then the shifter is part of a box that has 4 bolts attached to the transmission itself.

do i just remove the shifter part or the whole box its connected to sitting on the tranny?

I removed the shifter from the tranny, but I was also changing to a short shifter at the time I did my clutch/flywheel.
