I pulled the engine out of my baby. Here's a brief video I took. If anyone has any questions or video request while I've got my car apart, please let me know. And as always, I sound like a typical youtuber but please subscribe of u enjoy them.

Looks like you have a decent place to work.

Did I see a remanufactured engine plate on the front of the motor? Do you know how many miles were on the motor before the engine needed replacing? What was the reason for pulling the motor?

Congrats on wanting to do all of the work yourself. You saved around a grand right there by getting into it on your own.

speeder, yeah i have fun stories with my car. it came with an extended warranty when i bought it. lol im sure the company dumb enough to do that, stopped after my claim. $10k or so later, it ended.

But, all the work had to be done at the local mazda dealer. they blew the first replacement engine lol. less than 1000 miles into it, it blew a coolant seal. the head mechanic admitted he jumped on the gas when he was driving it.

that was at ~80k miles on the chassis. the whole drivetrain is "new" or reman new.

Its not broken, its my winter project and i hate a dirty engine bay. i daily drove that in MI for 2-3 years. even tho i had my 88 gxl :-)

Ive decided to man up and go single turbo. I mean i run a website that gets more than 500 ppl a day and they want single turbo information

Out of curiosity, is there still a place in business named Petes` Garage in your neck of the woods? I haven`t been up there in quite awhile but was wondering. Still have memories of a couple of chicks shakin` booty ( well, I was kinda gettin` mashed between `em &...Oh..nevermind ) on the dance floor there.

Nice job man. How was the pull? I will be starting to pull my engine to do a rebuild. It'll be my first time pulling an engine. Any tips or suggestions? Any special tools?

Iron determination
2x brass *****

lol. 10,12,14, 17mm deep well sockets, open ended wrenches.
Tags to label stuff if its your first time with the vacuum hoses
Take pictures to remember the steps
Jack, jack stands
Leatherman or similiar tool, for knife and pliars as needed
Long flat head screw driver to disable the clutch when trying to separate the trans from the engine
Bucket for oil and coolant and ps fluid if you get crazy
Engine hoist bonus.

Thats all that comes to mind at the moment.
