puddles under secondary injectors?

i pulled off my lim last night and noticed small puddles of gas oil mix(mostly gas) under the secondary injectors, should i be concerned here? the car did seem to run very rich at idle before. they are 1300's from rc, is it possible they are leaking? i have an extra set of 850's so maybe i'll swap them and see. any ideas? thanx-garrett

something is defnitely leaking. i would suggest taking off the UIM and ACV and pressurizing the system and checking to see where the leak is coming from. just short the GND and F/P pins in the diagnostic box. don't drive the car that is for sure. your primaries may be leaking too....it is difficult to tell sometimes.

turbogarrett,

when did you get your 1300 done? recently? I know from an old post from wonder1and here in texas had problems with his...and as 93blackfd said more and more people have been having problems with them.

RC "WAS" known for good reliable injector upgrades....I wonder what is up?

I also upgraded my injectors to 1300 from RC....

so am a bit worried....

what about enlarging these injectors makes them prone to failure or for them to "stick open" as people have posted?

Could be the injector insulator grommet. It could be torn or not in propelry.

Typical culprit is Fuel Pulsation Dampener. Its a leading cause of engine fires in the FD. Its also a maintinence item and if it hasnt been replaced in the last 60k its almost definatly the problem.
