PS & A/C removal
PS & A/C removal
i am pulling my motor, and when i put it back in i am thinking of just leaving the PS and A/c off....or just one or the other. as of today i am leaning towards retaining the PS and getting rid of the A/C.....
i keep going back and forth....i guess i just want someone to talk me out of or into it.....
ive had the PS and a/c belt removed from the car for a while b/c there is a pesky leak somewhere in the PS system and the a/c isnt charged up b/c i never use it really.....
sometimes it gets hot, and ladies bitch, and i sweat a lot if im not on the highway, but....i dunno....
i kinda like the no power steering, but i wish there was a happy medium between having it and not having it. around town and autoX it would be beneficial, but at speed, i like it not there...
ideas??

I got rid of both PS and AC about 2 months ago. Never looked back. Of course, summer's here in Okinawa and it's getting HOT. But it makes changing the engine such a snap. My power steering I miss a little bit when I'm backing up. Other than that, I like not having it.

i thought if you removed one, you had to remove the other because of how they are attached to the car.

Hey nic... If you ever get done w/ school and decide to come back to tx... I'd keep'em... My rack is fucked and I'm waiting to install my new one untill I get the time... I miss both, Even though its getting cold. I spent so much damn time fixing the a/c I'd run it summer and winter. lol

Dont you need to get a return line loop for the rack so it doesn't hydro lock? I though they were only a hundred bucks. I dont think that you can just yank the P/S with out doing that. Someone add to this if I an on the right track. This is something that I have been thinking about also since my motor is out right now.
When I yanked my engine out 4 months ago, the p/s took more time than the engine(removal). I was talking about not putting it back in and he mention something similar to what your talking about(JOES95RX7). Does anybody have any info about this?
