Proper Removal of J&S Knock Sensor?
HI guys.
So I've had a few issues since I removed the J&S two days ago. The knock sensor istelf leads to a control box. The control box was spliced into the PFC with 4 different wires. The control box also has leads to the display. I simply cut the 4 wires, taped them up really well, and removed everything.
Immediately upon doing this, the car has had issues during acceleration. It hesitates and feels sort of "jerky" like a heart skipping a beat. The idle has also dropped from 1200 to 800.
The big clue is the boost gauge has changed from 17 to 11 psi vacuum at idle.
Could removing the J&s cause the PFC to start freaking out on me? It feels like a vacuum leak perhaps? any thoughts?
Thanks!
