Project car help
In this case, "project car" is a way to say that I took it apart so long ago that I no longer remember how to put it back together :-). So here's the deal, I have an FD on jackstands with the rear suspension, differential, rear subframe and the PPF removed. From memory, these all came out incrementally: suspension first, differential next followed by rear subframe and PPF. Is there a best way to put it all back together? Specifically, is it worth building the rear subframe up with differential and suspension before putting it back in the car? Or piece-by-piece as it came out? I know there are different ways to skin a cat, but are there any big advantages to one way over the other? Any other advice for tackling this? Thanks.

I recommend installing the subframes first. It is a lot easier to get back up into the car and get it squared up on the attachment points. At least it is for me working with a car on jackstands and raising the subframes into place using a jack. Easier to balance and locate w/o the suspension attached.

PPF last, that's for sure.

Diff (or put it and subframe back at the same time, it's been a while)
PPF
Driveshaft
PPF I usually install onto the diff first and get some nuts holding in in place so it won't drop off. Then swing it upwards to get it onto the trans.

Be careful with that brake hard-line that runs along the upper aft-side of the subframe. It’s secured in (iirc) 3 or 4 clips. Mine got loose at one end and wore against the subframe causing it to leak.
Good time to make sure the fuel filter is new.
It’s in the FSM but the clips for the snub of the axles should be at 12:00 o’clock to snap in.
I’d also get new differential side seals if you haven’t already. They’re not expensive.
