Well I just ordered one from RX7Store.net with an intake on back-order, so when I get it installed I'd be happy to share my feedback with everyone...

I actually have this boost controller with my GT35/40 single and it seems to work good but it makes some pretty loud clicking as you start building boost, enough to the point of annoying. I called Greddy and they said it was normal, but still sounds a little loud to me to be normal. I'll be trying to find a way to silence it pretty soon. Let me know how your Type S is. Other than that I'm satisfied with it.

It's pretty simple, but the only problem is it's about the same price as a Profec B but no display. Profec B is pretty darn easy to work with...

If you get a lot of clicking, try putting a rubber insulator between the solenoid and whatever it's bolted to. Most boost controllers come with one just for that reason.

Just a little feedback since i've got the car back.It helped my spiking issue so far almost completely, still need to play with it to get it right where i want it. It's very easy to use, that's why i got it , 3 ***** to turn and that's it, i've used profec-b's on other cars and didn't like the pushing in to change to different spots(personal prefrence im sure). So far I haven't heard any of the clicking noises, i did also use one of the rubber washers so maybe that helped. Over all i'm glad i've gotten it so far, i dont' mind no display.

Hope that helped a little.

Isn't this the older type Profec B If not, what's the difference.

Looks just like my older Profec B...I'm running it with GT35R and it's great and super easy to use.

Dunno if there's much of a difference. The case is a bit different looking, and it uses a smaller solenoid.

Im digging the smaller solenoid...The one i have it was like trying to hide a brick in your engine bay.

I think the type S they ended up just improving on the older Profec B....Everyone who I know that bought the Greddy spec 2 didn't like it...It was like fumbling around trying to sellect between high and low boost while keeping their eye on the road. The older style (and the type s) are just one click to jump back and forth from high to low.

Who needs like 4 boost settings anyway?

All you need are 2.

1. Round Town Setting.
2. Stomp On This Bitch Setting.

The clicking noise you hear is the solenoid coming on.

Its very similar to AVC-R with the solenoid control. I have the new Greddy Profec.. Not sure if its the S or not.. but noticed that it has the solenoid like AVC-R. Make sure you have little rubber padding on back of that solenoid. And also mounted in more solid area. It will reduce the clicking noise.
