Profec A extra nipple?

Profec A extra nipple?
I have a used Profec A that I am installing to use on my non-seq setup and all the documentation that I can find shows the 3 connections on the front of the stepper motor but no mention of the one nipple on the back of the unit. Anybody know what this is supposed to be hooked up to?
