PRoFec B spec II help!

Hey list,

well i hooked up everything, and i'm hitting .72kpa=10.4psi and that's '[lo] set' 0%. What should i do? if i turn off my controller, i should only go up to 7psi, correct? Maybe i install the vac. hose incorrectly. I had the line go from head unit to filter to Upper Intake manifold.

What should i do?

Thanks

-joe

Some people have said that the controller reads 2 psi higher, are you reading the boost off of you boost gauge?

What exactly is your question? I just installed a Profec B Spec II recently and it works fine, 7 psi when off. Are you using the correct ports on the solenoid? There are three, make sure you use the one that's for actuator type installations.

Also, make sure to cap off the other side of the actuator that goes up the pipes and to the wastegate solenoid. The wastegate solenoid isn't used anymore.

Question

hey mor,

did you try a different power srce yet?

and which do think gives a more accurate reading...the profec or the autometer boost guage? I thought the profec was right since it read 7 psi when i had it off....i guess i'll take a look tonite when i get back.

sup alien7,

nope haven't had a chance to try another power source.

yeah, i think the profec is correct.

before i try the power source i'm gonna try changing my installation to the standard wastegate only instead of t'ing both wg and pc.

how do you have yours installed? i'm getting 10-6-10...so i think i'll put the pc back. what size pill do i need? 0.059"?

hey mor

i only have the controller hooked up to the wastegate....didn't touch the precontrol.

I also have a 10-6-10 pattern....i wonder why that is. Not sure what the pill size is....you didn't hold on to that hose?
