Profec B Spec II?

I've just installed my profec and spent about 30 minutes going back and forth tuning it. Anyway, I've notice that the boost warning is coming on at only 8psi when I have it set at 10.5. I have it set to lower boost 25% when it reaches 10.5, but because it senses the limiter at 8psi it lowers it to the minimum 7psi. Is there a reason it is doing this? I never boost the car until it is warmed up. Does the controller have a safety feature to keep the boost down?

Add me to that list. It was doing it the other night and I thought it might have just been the cold temperature or something of that nature but I had mine set at 16 and it would go off at 13.5 or so.

Add one more to the list. I have 35% duty cycle 1 gain have had the start boost from 9.5 to 7.5, warning at 10.5 and limiter between 20%-40%. I was at Laguna Seca and out of every turn I would get the warning (flashing red) at about 7.5 psi and could feel it back off the boost several times during the acceleration. My actual boost peaks weren't even hitting the limit.

An additional problem I am having, when the limiter didn't kick in is a spike on the second turbo. It is small but I can't think of a way to controll that.

All I want is a steady 10 psi which I had when I finished tuning it. I will try kpa and see what happens. I guess I will have to go to one of those conversion pages to figure out what the numbers should be.

this was the case for me as well. basically i think that if you hit any switches after power on, it won't prematurely cap your boost settings.

I wasn't aware that it didn't happen in the kPa setting though....i'll try that when i get a chance.

The unit is still a great unit it just seems there are some major bugs and who knows they may have worked this one out, but if not there are still ways around it. Don't sweat it

Turn the unit off. Then hold the "Select" button down. Quickly, within 2 seconds of pressing the Select button, press the "Mode" button twice. If you don't press the mode button quick enough it will just turn the unit back on. Do the same thing to turn it back to kpa.
