Profec B acting up suddenly??

Hey Guys, I have had my profec B for about 9 months and after using it on the strip for the first time it won't work anymore. It boosts to 10 psi quick in the second turbo and creeps past 13psi(thats when I let off) and boosts to 8-9psi in the first turbo.
I have the boost ***** turned all the way down and nothing changes, I messed with the gain and nothing changes, I changed the switches in the back to overboost setting and nothing changes. . . .
It almost seems like it is stuck open, the lines are fine and the power cord seems fine.
I did 15 runs down the strip for the first time with it and a midpipe( I put it on a couple days before) and it worked while I was dragging but when I left it started doing what I described above.
I have searched and found 2 people who had similar problems but never posted on whether or not they figured it out.

My mods are: Intake, DP, MP, Catback, Profec B, PFC(with base maps for 12psi on mods above plus a upgraded intercooler), stock seq. twins.

Any help/suggestions would be great!!

Thanks Justus ~

What do you WANT the boost to be?

Sounds right for those mods and no ported wastegate.

Stuck open? What do you mean. 7lbs is the LEAST you'll get (as if you had no boost controller and no pills in the lines). That would be "stuck open". Stuck closed, and you'll boost till you blow.

Did you try turning the Profec completly off? If that still doesn't work, try this. Go to your boost controller's stepper motor. Plug the in and out hoses together. This will determine your wastegate spring rate. If it doesn't drop then you're SOL, your exhaust is flowing too much for your setup. But there is a way around it. Instead of getting the boost signal for your bs from the intake manifold, you can get it right after the turbo. This will give the bs a higher reading in turn will open your wg faster=lower boost

Oh s**t, I forgot something. When you installed the bs, did you take the pill out of the wg line?

BTW, give me my mp back!! No seriously, I need that back sometime next week so I can take my car on the road.

Yeah I turn it off and the samething happens. . .
I'll have to try what you described, but I am not all too clear on what you are telling me to do. I don't remeber if I took the pills out or not when I installed it, if the directions told me to then I did and if the told me not to I didn't.
John, I ordered a MP today so it should be here soon but if you need it sooner I will take it off and drive the mini van just let me know how soon you need it I don't want to hold you up in anyway.

Thanks!!

Where is your Greddy solenoid mounted?

Why do people always talk about removing pills? The Greddy replaces the wastegate line (which contains the pill). The pre-control line (the other line containing a pill) is left alone.

Just to verify, you did plug both the line running from the stock solenoid to the wastegate and the nipple on the wastegate, correct?

Ouch. In that case, given your other parameters, I would say the solenoid could be bad from the heat. See if anyone living near you has a Profec B you could swap out.

It's best to mount the solenoid someplace "cool". Mine is located on the fender behind the ABS, which is shielded from the engine/turbos.
