In the process of puting my interior together...and need help

I'm putting my interior back together. but i THINK i'm missing something. can anybody verify for me . Is there a white ring should light up on the steering column(ignition switch)? Or it just me, this thing never exist. Thanks

no lit ring but there is a small orange light there that lights through a oval shaped opaque plastic lens
