just wondering what you guys have done to secure you pettit colum mount pod?

nothing, even with the snaps broken on mine the bottom holds it very snugly.

I drilled small holes into the tabs on the bottom half of the steering surround, and matching holes in the Pettit holder. Used small black self-tapping screws to attach the two halves - was a decent amount of work, but looks great and is SUPER secure. And, if I have to take it apart, just remove the screws and done.

you would think that they would make these with the clips so it would just snap in

i just doubled up some 2 sided tape on the tabs.......they stick to the column and hold it secure........quick and easy
