PROBLEMS! with my FD... need help!

First, when I reverse and take off, and down shift, I get a shudder sound... i'm almost positive its my bushings in the diff... would it be?

Second, I get a rattle sound when I take off... could it be the pilot bearing?

Thirdly, My clutch just went funny... not sure what is it, but it doesn't disengage properly... or how it used to it. Its much slower when disengaging? What could cause this?

Thanks guys!

Ahhhh. See this only happens to me when I pretty much down shift but can notice it when reversing and taking off. My friend had a similar problem. Under WOT, the whole rear end of his car would just shudder... it end up to be bent bolts on his drivedraft I think.

Dennis,

I am not 100% sure, but the rattling noises and disengagement problems sound like either pilot bearing is taking a crap or perhaps *but very doubtful* the pressure plate could need replacement. The reverse rattle, down shift noises are bushings. Check your rear bushings, dif mount bushings as well, and maybe even engine mount bushings while your under there.

I just replaced my diff bushings as they were pretty bad.. now as for the shuddering... I do still get shuddering when I down shift, but only sometimes and it wasn't nearly as bad... could the bushings just need wearing in? Thanks guys.

I only get the shuddering if I down shift under 2000rpm... if I were to rev it above 2000rpm and let go of the clutch, I would not hear anything... clutch maybe? Flywheel? Anyone? Thanks.
