KY problems after injector service

I have stock computer and stock fuel system. I had the injectors serviced and it started and ran fine. When I started to build boost it would fall on its face. Turns out the secondaries where not firing. Took them out and sent back, they where stuck. Got them back and put in, took for a test drive. This time it wouldn't stall at boost, but it still isn't right, kind of like its still not getting all the fuel it should be. Could this still be my injectors or something else??

Could be any component of the fuel system. do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

This is why I'm a proponent of brand new injectors. Not as cheap as cleaning/flowtesting, but they work 100% of the time.

No, I don't have a guage but everything has been fine up until now. Replaced filter 2 years ago. I am gonna swap out a set of injectors tomorrow that I know will work. That will at least eliminate that from the equation.

pressure check your fuel pressure regulator. if it letting gas bypass back to the tank and not building pressure it will sputter like that.it in the fsm for pressure testing. But i think it your injectors if that the only thing you touched. Did you go though RC engineering to get them cleaned? Or borrow someones injectors to try out. good luck

boosted93,

What else did you do in that area when you were doing your work? Did you have the whole fuel rail out? One thing to check is to make sure you have the proper connector on the fuel thermosensor. The fuel thermosensor is the exact same type of sensor as the coolant thermosensor. The connectors can reach to both so they can be easily mixed up (which causes some strange behavior of the car).

Good deal. I would seriously suggest RC engineering in La CA.

Like most others here, I've had my injectors cleaned instead of buying new. Like engine building, go with someone who has a track record. The vast majority of us have absolutely no issues. Personally, I like these guys.......

A few of my injectors were stuck closed after having them cleaned when I did my engine rebuild. I had them about 5 weeks or so before using them. Ended up taking a 9 volt battery to their terminals while they were in the fuel rail. Clicked `em open & problem was solved. Been fine ever since.

+1 for new injectors.....it's such a pain in the butt to have to get in there again to replace them.

Last time I checked, new injectors were a boatload more than having them cleaned was. Maybe someone is getting a killer deal on new ones?

Never bought any NEW, but that was my understanding.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, buying new would absolutely be the way to go. But reality says...clean and flow-test.

BTW Nat, how's the car running?

Good BTW! Blew a "small fortune" tanking it all the way to the top last week so I can maybe save a few deneros later as gas seems to be rising in price again. Haven`t driven it too much lately so a full tank should last me awhile at the rate I am driving it. Broke a 1000 miles on it since the engine replacement so not being shy about stepping on it occasionally. Gotta get me a BOV I can hear though. Factory one is just too quiet! LOL!

I vented my stock BOV directly after plunging the intake box, sounds nasty, at least until you get an aftermarket one!
