Problem installing Noltec motor mounts.. HELP!

Ok so it looks like one factory motor mount bracket does NOT have a hole to mount the new motor mount.Do I have to drill out the hole to install the mount?

second question... is this motor mount in the picture for the drivers side or passengers?

Sorry buddy.. you'll need 2 of the "steel" mounts.

You are really supposed to use two steel mounts with those. Otherwise you can grind the aluminum mount flat and frill a hole.

Another thing I was wondering, is when you install after market engine mounts or in my case noltec's, do I have to reuse the factory metal sheild or does it just bolt on both sides without it? If nobody knows what im talking about im willing to show pics

Ya, like already stated, you need another steel mount.

The aluminum is the driver's side, the steel is the passenger side. You can use a passenger side mount on the driver side as the bolt holes are an exact opposite, so it fits both sides the same.

I have the Banzai poly mounts, and I picked up a steel mount for like 50 bucks in the for sale section here. If not ,I bet Fritz Flynn has one laying around.

Isn't there a couple threaded holes along the side of the motor mount that you can bolt the heat shield to using I think a couple small 10mm bolts?

Im an idiot, ya I figured that out a few hours ago lol ya looks like I had the motor mount with the threaded holes on the drivers side, so I had to remove that one and install it on the passengers side, and then everything turned out well lol finally got both installed today

Shouldn't both sides have the threads for the heat shield, or did you not end up using two steel mounts?

I used 2 steel mounts both look exactly the same, but for some reason one steel mount did not have the holes to install the heat shield, while the other one did. I have no idea why

Oh weird, I just assumed all steel mounts would have the holes for the heat shield.
