Print ready service manual

Hi
With the help of a friend i decided to get myself a printed version of the FD service manual. While the PDFs are ok, nothing beat the paper when it comes to effective searching.
I posted up some pictures of them on the RX-7 Facebook group and got an surprising amount of print requests. While i cant organize and ship printed versions, i have uploaded the PDFs i made.

They are made from a service manual i found somewhere on the web. Its for a 1994 USDM FD. I have removed the the entire "Automatic Transmission" part from it to reduce the size, since few owners need those and they where several hundred pages with schematics. It should be print ready with all pages in the correct order and placement for 2-sided print.

Nice! I do it old school - I have the real deal Mazda service manual on paper . The fold-out wiring diagrams are worth it.

But, this is REALLY good to have for ease of printing. BTW, you can copy the PDF files on a thumb drive and take them to Kinko's and have them print it out and bind it for you, many times for not a lot of money. You don't have to waste a ton of ink on your home printer or **** off your boss printing it at work.

OMG Zepticon I love you!!

I don't have the OG real deal manual/s and have been trying to think of a good way to print it because dealing with it strictly electronically is a pain at times.

Thank you for sharing this with the community!

Very nice, thanks!

I too have the FSM, but these that you posted are great to have. One, for the size, two...to keep the expensive FSM from getting (well, more) grungy.

Excellent job.

The best thing with having a spare set on print is that i can keep these very rare EU/German FSMs in my bookshelf and out of harms way.
I also found the US and EU diagrams to be almost identical, with just a few minor differences in the electronics.

I have a 93 but the quality of this is way better than the 93 workshop manual I found online. Anything in the 94 model year that’s not applicable or different than 93?

The only difference i have found so far is the introduction of airbags But i can have a look in the 94 update and see if there is anything else to note.

Thanks for posting this resource. Rumor has it that the 1995 wiring is slightly different than '94. Can anyone confirm this? Would love to get a print version for my '95.

I've been using the 94 with no issues so far, all the wire colors seem to match the 95.

I feel like I remember the wire colors in my 93 not always matching what is in the 94 electrical manual that is available online.

Couldn't speak about the 95 specifically though.

Weird - this 1994 PDF is also missing pages J42 and J43, just like another 1994 PDF I have. I guess that was just a Mazda printing error, so even the paper manuals must be missing them?

The 1993 service manual does have these pages (in that manual they are J44 and J45). They are pretty important if you are rebuilding the manual transmission, covering assembly of the mainshaft front bearing, countershaft center bearing, main drive gear bearing and countershaft front bearing.
