primary boost???
I am having problems with my primary turbo boost. Everything is working fine at normal idle and speeds but when I get at about 4500 rpm my primary boost tops out at about 5.91 psi. From 4500 on up the rpm line it stays consistant at 5.91. I know that my secondary will not kick in until primary reaches about 8 psi. I checked all of my hoses and they look good. I read somewhere that if your secondary throttle body was not opening then your max boos would be around 5 psi. Could this be the problem?? How could you tell if this Actuator is kicking in or not. Would there be other symptoms of this happening???

Well, try this - take off the vacuum hose that runs into the secondary throttle actuator (at the back of the UIM, kind of medium sized cyllender looking thing right behind the throttle body) and stick a screw or something in it to block it off. Then drive around and see of that did anything. Make sure your car is warmed up fully before driving it hard, though - but you already knew that.

O.k. just finished testing out the actuator and same thing 5.91 psi. I forgot to add something to my first thread that might be of some help. I took off the hose going from the intercooler to the y pipe and there was oily residue on the aluminum. I know this usually means there is a leak somewhere but I can't find any????
