Wow. I've seen em cracked, but I don't think I've ever seen one busted in half. Impressive!

Any insight as to how it broke? (ie, hard launch at the drag strip, etc...)

Have you checked you drivers side motor mount recently. My mount wen't bad and caused my PPF crack in three places. After welding it up and adding some steel plates over the cracks, also made a new mount using aluminum and polyuethane, I wen't to the drag strip (joliet IL)with a pair of slicks. The last run of the day I heated up the slicks real good and then launched, but only heared a bang, it felt like it had sliped out of gear. to my dismay my diff. pumpkin was shattered apart, and diff fluid leaked all over the track. the point of my story is I think it started with extra HP>bad motor mount>cracked PPf. witch must have started some hair line cracks in the diff. the combo of the freshly welded and strengthend PPF, and drag slicks lead my diff to it's death.
