Power Steering whine

when i turn the wheel at low speeds the power steering makes a funky noiuse like its struggling, i dont know maybe i just need fluid but honestly this is such a dumb thing to admit to but i dont know how to check the fluid. could that be the reason for the struggling humming noise (low fluid) or something else i would appreciate any and all feedback

Download a rx7 workshop manual if you don't know how.

Being very low on fluid isnt good for the pump from what Ive heard. If you loser power steering then you get to go back to "man"power steering. Its not gonna lock up or anything like that.
