power steering pump removal
Can you run a belt to the A/C without the P/S? I'm asking because my belt starts squeaking after about 5,000 miles of replacement. I put a new P/S pump on, and it still does it. I want to keep my air conditioning though, too.
I've pulled the engine so the car isn't driveable. a/c will go as well if i decide to do this. I've read about people removing p/s and keeping a/c but you have to get a special pulley made.

When I first bought my car, it had a 290mm(I think that's the size) momo steering wheel. Then I removed the P/S. It was strenuous at times backing up in tight corners, but it was manageable. Once driving, it wasn't ****...felt just like I had p/s. To help resolve my hard time cornering while backing up, I installed a steering wheel from a Subaru WRX (330 mm) and it's amazing how of a difference 4 cm makes! I don't even realize that I don't have P/S.
Most people have issues about no p/s when they're parking. If you can live with having a hard time backing up and pulling in(this is only sometimes since you'll already be moving)...then go for it!
