Power Steering Pulley Broke, discuss options

So my power steering pulley broke, i have a problem now...

a.) people are charging too much for a stock replacement

b.) the metal part is still on the pump (with the nut too)

so what are my options? should i be careful with the metal part that is still attached? why the hell is the power steering pulley plastic?

I'm sure someone has a used pulley they could sell you. I'd try a post in the classifieds.

Ditto. I deleted my p/s and a/c and am a big fan of it. Of course, now my forearms look like I spend all day chokin' the chicken

Now that I'm used to manual steering, when I drive a customer's or friend's FD with p/s, it feels like there is something wrong with the car.

I really like not having power steering on the car, it feels more direct and communicative.

It has done nothing for my forearms though, so GoodfellaFD3S might "spend all day chokin' the chicken..." *Joking*

There is this one on J-t imports.
http://www.jt-imports.com/RE%20Amemiya%20FD.htm

Of course it costs 280 bucks from JP. Post up in the Parts FS section saying you want one someone is bound to have it.

SAVE the metal center, Garfinkle s son makes alum pullies. on the ps pully he presses the metal center in . When you get it off call him if you want to give or sell it to him. They pay the shipping . 615-893-4469

My question is all these people have removed their P/S but they dont have the pully laying around. Also I did see a P/S pump on Ebay today. Good luck on you pulley hunt!

I can get you the Unorthodox PS pulley. It looks like the RE Amemyia above and is around $110.
