Power Steering Hose Issue
As usual, everything with these cars is a fight. In my attempt to start the ground work for my Greddy V-Mount, I installed the Greddy PS cooler. I was going to re-use the rack hard pipe-to-cooler hose. The Greddy PS cooler is 12mm OD, and the rack hard line that runs to it is 10mm OD.
One would think that one could go to the auto parts store, find a hose in the smaller of the 2 IDs, and muscle it onto the larger diameter line. Very much not so. To add regular insult to injury, NLA from mazda. Boo.
I guess my questions are:
1. Does anyone here know if someone makes this ridiculous hose of two different IDs?
2. Has anyone else had to solve this problem? What is your solution
3. Does anyone know of any good companies that can make-up a hydraulic hose of 2 separate IDs at each end?
I spent a lot of money on new parts, like I'm sure many of us do, and I'd hate to try to recycle my old hose here. Last thing I want to do is deal with some stupid PS leak after I've installed all kinds of crap around/over/atop this hose and it's location.
Before anyone asks, I've done the following:
1. Heated the hose end that goes onto the Greddy PS cooler (the 12mm)
2. Put some PS fluid on there as lubricant
3. Tried to make a "reducer" with some 3/8" Al tubing I had laying around (I bubbled-it at both ends w/ my flare tool), and use 2 different ID hoses.
None of the above worked.
Short of making my own PS cooler with some more of my left-over 3/8 tubing, I am at a loss. Please share any suggestions!

If you can’t slip the hose onto the GReddy cooler then the hose is probably no longer stretchable, you can get a small section of 12mm hose plus some 10mm hose and connect them with a 12mm to 10mm hose barb.
