Power problem window switch fixed.
For those of you who have issues with your power windows not working..
There was a thread awhile back talking exactly what I'm going to talk about but i couldn't find it while diagnosing my problem.
Anyway, when I used a electrical test light on the switch; I noticed that I would only get power in the switch sometimes. This lead me to believe there was a break in the wire or something of that nature.
The problem was the connector between the doorjam. After opening the connector I noticed that 3 terminals had been badly corroded green. (ickyyyy) Basically I soldered (my friend insists his soldering wont break under vibration as I suggested) and ran 3 new wires thru the door. Cleaned the terminals with brake cleaner and added the hydrosilicon gel (correct name?) into the connector.
hopefully this helps those of you who have tried cleaning your window switches to no avail.
BTW the window motor 12v is the white w/ blue stripe.
while you're in there you might as well: replace your stock speakers, eliminate that hollow door closing noise and lubricate your window tracks with air tool/compressor lube.

My driver's door stopped getting power in the same way. Suddenly and with the window half way up. I took the window switch out of the driver's side and took it apart to clean the carbon build up. Be carefull with this, there are 4 tiny springs and 5 tiny ball bearings. That really helped with the feel of the switch...as far as click-click. But did not help with the power.
Checked the harness between the door and body. At first it is hard to see, but at the very top of the white oval harness is a red tab. From the inside, you have to pull the red tab, and from the outside (door jamb side) you have to push it in. Pushing seemed easier for me. Just use a small flat head to lightly push the barely visable red tab in while pulling off the door harness.
Check the pins for corrosion. A clean up here seems to have solved my problems....for now. I don't think this is a common problem. I have had my flex-boot removed from the wires for about 4 years now. Probably not enough barrier from the elements.

When you can roll the drivers side window up and down perfectly fine, and roll the passengers side window up from the drivers side, but you can NOT roll it down from the drivers side, the Drivers side switch is bad. I know this because I had this same problem, and I replaced my drivers window switch with a 94', and now both work perfectly fine

So basically your saying, you can roll the passengers side window up AND down from the master switch with no problem, BUT if you try to roll the passengers window up or down from the passengers side, then it has the problem? kinda sounds like a bad passenger window switch
