Potential dangers of no injector o-rings?

Hypothetically speaking, what could happen if there weren't any injector o-rings put in when the injectors were replaced?

Most likely you would have fuel leaking from the injectors.

vaccum/boost leak if it's the injector insulators that sit on the engine and not in the rail

that's what I figured...any dangers? like FIRE? I don't have this problem (anymore)...just wondering.

Any time you have fuel leaking in a hot engine, fire is always a danger.
