Post your experiences with Atkin's Rotary:

Maybe this has been done before...oh well.

My motor is at Atkin's awaiting their decision to warranty the motor or not.

It as a front apex seal broken smooth off with less than 10k miles. My engine was rebuilt last January at a cost of $2500.

Please discuss your experiences with thier rebuilds and warranty work. Maybe I can use it as a motivating factor to warranty my motor.

thanks

Yet another Atkins Rotary motor victim. This is becoming too frequent with Atkins rebuilds!

There is nothing you can do to motivate them, however, making a report to your state's attorney general's office may be unsettling for them.

Well, I realize now I should have gone elsewhere for a rebuild, but I did not now then. Since I am doing the tranny conversion...they can installe the 5 speed rear "iron" and flywheel.

Somehow though I have a feeling they are going to try and fvck me!

well if they rebuild your engine make sure you get it rebuilt with new rotar housings. atkins tends to reuse your old ones (if they are within spec).

I asks them to record and send to me all the measured critical values and to include the manufacturers tolerances for that measurement.

I have a atkins rotary motor, but only 1800 Miles on engine. Seems good, great compression but from what i hear from you guys. It sounds like it will be going bad soon. I haven't had a problem.

Also jeff 48 what did you mean by :

There is nothing you can do to motivate them, however,
making a report to your state's attorney general's office may be unsettling for them.

my first Atkins reman. lasted only 30 mins.(3mm apex seals, street port)! there was something wrong with the bearings, they ended up in the oil pan.
atkins blamed it on the engine installer, but replaced it anyways, they even paid for the install($350) I sold the car about 4k later. but Cyberben3 has not had any problems out of it since I sold it to him.
