Red face possesed tach

ive had my fd for almost a year now and im tired of the possesed tach that flings around randomly as i drive does anyone know where the sending/ recieving units are?? mazda dealer told me they were fine its just a connection issue...

so im assuming its somewhere in between and yea i dont reallyhave a clue where the either units are, i read something abt the connections becoming corroded or something to that effect but any help would be useful especially if i have to take the dash apart cause i have horrible luck with breaking trim clips (retard strength?)

thnks

It's bad solder joints in the tach itself. Takes some electrical expertise to fix (you have to know how to solder) but it's pretty easy to fix all things considered.

Or find a 2nd gen guy - all us FC guys can fix broken solder joints with our eyes closed . FC's had a number of electrical problems.
