Port Air check valve encrusted with carbon
when i was replacing the vac lines, as stated, the "port air" check valve (secondary air injection pg. F-119 FSM) was completely covered with carbon on the back/spring side. Being the ******** i am, i just cleaned it real good and threw it all back together anxious to see if my vac job was a success. Idle issues ensued (was fine before) and found the TPS voltage around 1.7 volts in the closed position.
So i am assuming the rich closed position caused the build-up, but is there anything else i should look into while in there? I'll check the soleniod valves as per the FSM, but i don't have a great understanding of the system so feel free to point out my ignorance and advise.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks Jesse
