Popping at idle
Popping at idle
Picked up my first rx7 recently and there’s a popping noise at idle. This is my first rotary so I’m not sure what’s normal and what’s not. As far as I can tell the engine is stock besides an intercooler and apexi fc. Any input? Added a link to a video I recorded

You have a random miss. I wouldn’t be too concern. As cr-rex said, it’s not uncommon.
Your idle seems awful high and your cat-back is definitely not stock. So your car might have a few more modifications than just an intercooler and PFC.

Yeah that's about par for the course for idle. Lots of small factors add up to how well the car idles - motor health, primary injector health, spark plugs and coils, etc. It's also partially the rotary engine doesn't seal as well at low RPM so you have some dilution of the intake charge.
If they haven't been done in recent memory a new set of plugs is always worth doing.
