Depends on the mount kit
The Himini (sp) ones I purchased worked very well. They are bevel cut to fit the aluminum mount. You just have to remove the leftovers from the old mount and drill a centered hole and voila. Good to go.

This is the same issue I had when replacing my motor mounts with Noltec Urethane's. My friend and I noticed the the Aluminum motor mount did not have a hole in the middle to install an aftermarket mount. So what I did, was buy a used steel motor mount on this forum for roughly about $40-50 shipped.
Trust me, buy the steel mount because its gonna be stronger and MUCH less of a hassle in the end. Heres some pictures of mine

not sure about the strength of the aluminum mount, but i got mine from www.rotaryengine.com and it is beveled to fit the aluminum mount very nicely. check this thread, i posted a couple pics. https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/poly-engine-mounts-832755/
