Sounds like you didn't have enough mechanical know-how to keep the car in tip top shape. I agree that they are unreliable. 911 is a nice car, but common (at least around here). Have fun with your repair bills, porsches make FDs look like a bargain in that regard.......

I voted get rid of the prowler, they are slow and ugly, a car for non-enthusiast extroverts.

The question I have fo you is why do you have to get rid of one? If it is because of financial reasons, then definitely ditch the prowler. That's a good bit of money to owe on a car.

If not, then you gotta decide if you prefer the performance of the 7 or the attention the prowler gets.

Yea, paying on the prowler and the insurance since I am 24 is a lil steep. I can not get my 7 done as fast as I would like. and I dont need both. the rx7 may cost 20k to finish but that would be 20k I could pay when I want and the 7 would be done in no time.

I think my finished fd would get a lot of attention here. Maybe even as much as the prowler. But I do have to get rid of one or the other. It is about winter time here and I wont get much enjoyment out of either til next year neways.

financial reasons "ditch the prowler"?

you forget how often FDs are in the shop?

i think some people are in pipe dreams around here....

the prowler definitely won't come close to an FD as far as performance goes but it is still a nice car and gets alot of attention and is decently reliable. the motor should run seamlessly for 150k miles with minimal maintenance, think an FD could claim the same?

when you really think about it, the FD is not a great daily driver when modified unless you REALLY know what you're doing and that also often isn't cheap. the FD could very well cost you more than the payment on the prowler.

The prowler is a car for old men who want to show off to their golf buddies.

I'll give it to the prowler on the looks, but that's about it. To a layman, you put the fd and a prowler together and they're both exotic cars. The powler might of had something going for it if dodge would have put a bigger engine in there. With the same weight as the 7 it's no surprise it was able to make those quick 0-60 numbers. But what would do it for me is the 7's paid off and you've got 30k usd left to pay on the prowler.

2 completely different cars and really should not be compared.

Just so you know the FD will not rival the attention the prowler gets you. But I am sure the prowler won't rival the FD in the performance factor.

Find out what YOU want then make the logical choice. Performance + good looks= FD. Celebrity style attention: Prowler.

I never really liked the Prowlers to begin with. So I'd say keep the FD. But as I get older I'm realizing how much money is a factor. So if it's a coin-toss, I'd keep the one that's less of a financial burden.

you're gonna get a biased response asking here anyways, both cars will be a financial burden but you gotta figure which is gonna save you the most money in the long run, i haven't taken a look at what the prowlers sell for used but i'm sure they're still not cheap.

I love the prowler, and that fact that they are very rare, but I would have to say keep the fd it is paid for and after you sell the prowler you have a **** load of cash left over to finsh the FD.

I didn't read any of the thread, but seriously you shouldn't even be asking yourself this question. Why the hell did you get a Prowler in the first place? To "get attention"? From who? IMHO, Prowlers are terrible looking--unless you dig that kind of look. A cetain type of person may find that car attractive, but they're probably 50+ years old and have a f*cked up sense of taste (again, IMHO). You need to think pros and cons on this one and not worry so much about what others think.

I have weighed the pros and cons but any help to make my decision easier is appreciated. I got the prowler for how it handles. I am taking some more pics of it and going to try and sell it. Hopefully my fd will be done by summer. I want a car i can enjoy instead of sitting in a garage being afraid to put miles on it. So yes I am selling the prowler.
