Plugging the water pump housing

I'd like to tap and plug the turbo and throttle body coolant outlets on the water pump housing with allen plugs. What sizes have you guys used?

1/4" NPT worked on my stuff. Just make sure you don't cut the tap threads too big or the plugs won't tighten.
