Just a thought I half to do the same thing, take a piece of the old hos for the bov cut it abought 2-3 inches clean it real good set standing up on a piece of wax paper or plastic with a littlr oil on it so it won't stick, and fill it halfway with high temp silicone-RTV let dry then put it on and clamp it. might not look pretty but it will work.

Go to a hardware store and get a rubber chair cap - this is the rubber cap you can put on the foot of a stool so it doesn't scuff up a floor. They have them in all sorts of sizes, so you can get a tight fit. I think 3/4" or 7/8" is the right size. Stick it on, clamp it, done.

Long term, I'd get a spare Y-pipe and have the nipple cut off and welded shut. A welding shop should be able to do it cheap.

yeah, im with dale. They work well, mine have held up a year so far and they blend in so it doesnt look out of place. They are probably stronger than our stock rubber y-pipe connector.
