This plug look familiar to anyone?

I PM'ed these pics to a couple individuals on these boards who have been around for a long time, and know these cars really well, and neither of them could place this plug, so Im resorting to asking everyone

During the vac hose replacement/new fuel lines, I think I broke it off of something. I found it laying on my motor (rats nest was out) and for the life of me couldnt figure out where it went. I put everything back together and figured if it was critical, Id get a CEL, and then Id know where it went...no dice. Might be heater related, because now the heater wont blow hot air at all, but thats the only thing I can think of. I now have the UIM/TB/Intake off, and rats nest half removed again, and still cant see where it went. Anyone have an idea?

I think that's for the fan switch at the back of the water pump housing. The same switch people swap out for the Miata fan switch.

Hard to tell from the pics, though.

I agree, it look like the fan thermoswitch connector which has only one
wire lead to it.

For the haeter not working, did you drain the coolent at all? if so you might have some air in the system, causing the heater not to blow hot air, or is the heater fan not even coming on.

definately a thermoswitch connector... and you heater core is pluged....

9 Bolts, 2 bolts for your steering column, 2 for the hood release, and 5 connectors and your dash will be out...

2-3 bolts for the heater core, and the two clamps int he engine bay and your heater core will be out.... blow the **** out of that thing with a compressor, or get a used one that flows good.....

Ok, Ill check out the fan switch..but I think Ill have to fully remove the rats nest to see it clearly. If it is in fact that which I broke, Im gonna solder it back together, and tape it with electrical tape.

About the heater..I havent drained my coolant, but I did have the TB coolant lines disconnected for a week or 2 as I did the vacuum hose replacement, and had to fill the coolant a bit from that. Taking the heater core out doesnt sound like a lot of fun...but driving in the cold is a lot less fun, trust me. So I might be doing that, thanks.

That's the fan thermoswitch connector, like everyone said. It's on the bottom rear of the thermostat housing, under the green plug. You should be able to see it clearly if you remove your airpump and look at the engine from the passenger side.
