Exclamation Please Help with Diagnosis

Recently I have had some problems with my 93 FD. There was a major short in the front harness, with about 10 wires cut and shorted to each other. It had fried two computers before I had found the problem and repaired it. At this point the wiring has been repaired, and a new stock computer installed, and the car now starts and runs without any check engine codes. The problem I am experiencing is that It runs really rough, with a major lack of power. It sounds as if I have lost compression in one rotor, and its barely trying to stay alive. I have experienced this twice already, so the first thing I did was check the compression. Turns out after doing it twice, once cold, and once heated up, all readings come out to be approx. 90psi. I have done the test correctly so I have ruled out the chance of a bad motor. I have pulled the spark plugs after the compression test and they appear to have a bit of oil on them. What does that mean?

The problem has to lie somewhere in the fuel or ignition system, im pretty sure. My guess is that the fried computer has damaged something, possibly the ignitor, ignition coil, or injectors. I would like to know how I would go about testing to see if one of these items has been damaged and needs replacement. Am I on the right track assuming that one of these parts would be the problem? The car will idle fairly well, with vacuum around 15inhg and 750rpm, but sometimes drops to 12inhg and 500rpm after its warm. It barely wants to rev, and once I revved it to around 4500rpms and it backfired like a shotgun. Could this indicate a lot of fuel not being ignited properly? I get some whitish smoke out of the exhaust, but that could be from leaky turbos.

Any advice would be appreciated. I really want to get this thing running soon and could use all the help I can get. Thanks.

First... smell the smoke... what does it smell like... coolant could be you have a bad seal in the motor or in the turbos. Are you losing oil... quickly? the backfiring could be you being rich... could be a lack of spark... could be running rich... i.e. too much fuel... are all your plugs getting power? What did the wires go to that got fried... try back tracking... use the wiring diagrams... think of the colors of them and go from there... where were the wires located that were messed up? did you forget to plug something all the way in? (spark plug boot, harness to injectors, to coils) Check your water and air temp sensors to make sure they are plugged in... also the obvious map sensor. check for crimped vac lines. Thats a good start....

I have been losing oil slowly for quite some time, even before this problem(1 quart every 2 weeks). I believe it is from leaky turbos. I have not checked spark at each plug yet, that will definitely be my next move. The short was located in the passenger wheel well; my tires were rubbing against the front harness and damaged 11 wires. I will go ahead and also check what those wires went to. I know two of them were ground, one was for the turn signals and one for the fans(both of which were not working before). Only thing is that my ecu was fried and just about anything could have gotten some bad signals after that and caused some damage. If any sensors were bad, the computer would give a check engine code, i am assuming, and currently I have none. I will definitly check those things you have listed though since at this point, I am not sure exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for the info. If anyone else has anything to add please do.

Do you have any friends that work at a shop w/ a lift? if so see if you can get it up in the air and try to look for the oil leak... have you seen any oil on your floor?

No I dont leak oil onto the floor, but I believe I have a leak from the turbos into the intake, and It burns it while its running.
