Unhappy Please don't hit me.

Well sitting at a stoplight in Kansas City I am waiting for my turn to turn left so I am yeilding to the oncoming traffic going straight. So I am just sitting there for 5-10 seconds or so and this car is crossing the street and all of a sudden some idiot T-bones him at like 40mph in the rear 1/4 panel causing him to spin. It gets worse, for me that is. So as he is spinning I am thinking, ****, please don't hit my car. A split second later, *Smack.* So now I have the front left corner of my car all smashed in. It took out my Bumper, Fender, Headlight, Hood, and Blinkers. Luckily my headlights were up at the time and my light still works but it points at the ground and I cannot put them back down because my bumper is smashed underneath them.
Bad thing was is that I was about 3 hours from home and had to still drive home with 1 headlight that was useful and my tire hits the fender when I turn to the right. My alignment feels a bit off as well. I went to KC for a drag race and it got rained out and ruined my whole day until this happened and ruined my whole week. So now I am in need of a new fender, headlight cover (at least), and a new bumper. My bumper reenforcement was cracked as well from what I could see but my airbags did not deploy luckily. Just hought I would share the news. Scott

Are the other two drivers insured?

Do you have pics?

This was the icing on the cake after my 3 hour drive to a rained out race.

The other drivers were both insured so hopefully they will cover all the damage. I do have pics as well.

Just don't know how to load them.

Yep, that's exactly why I don't bring my FD out of the garage when there is even a small chance for rain.

Unfortunately it was very dangerous out today. We haven't had a good rain for a while and that little bit we were getting today only brought up the oil from the streets, making them slick as hell added with the water.

Sorry to hear about the car....

maybe it's a chance to upgrade to a 99 style front bumper and a cool hood?
Also a free alignment and front tires if they rubbed enough on the way home
Some guy hit my car in 2000 silverado and it totally fizacked his trucks bumper up and cracked the container holding the coolant and made it poor everywhere and all over his motor. My car was just hit from the back as I was trying to take a left turn I guess he didn't see me slowing down and turning and he hit me at about 40 mph
Hardly anything happened to my car I thought there must be some metal in the back bumper but I heard it is some thick nylon material. The impact was fierce I thought my car was going to be totalled like the back end pushed to my back. I think that nylon is cool back there to protect damage but the people in the car absorb all of the impact it seems. Other bumpers crumble and take the impact for you but this one felt like I was actually sitting on a metal frame in a metal chair and got hit at 40mph when I was going 5-10mph OUCH!
I made him give me 300 since my car had been totally replainted a custom color a week before and I was pissed. Hopefully they can buff out the minor scratches and black plastic marks that rubbed on it and I get to keep the 300 for anything I want.
Point is accidents suck all the time but if you are a good driver and it is not your fault then it can turn out good for you in most cases unless there is a ton of damage to your car especially on parts that can't be upgraded and you have to wait for your car to be put back to stock then that sucks...

I know but it still sucks. she looks retarded now, with one headlight up all the time and a bumper that is all beat to ****. I need to fix her fast.
Which hood should I get? I like the Scoot but sometimes I think it is too much. I like the RESuper G hood. But it costs too much. I am going with the FEED Type II front end and FEED headlight cover.

the Super G hood looks cool...that's the same one I have right?...

Does FEED make a hood?...don't go with the Scoot...makes the car look like it's got a nose...with some cars, it's awesome looking(crashunit), but with other it looks retarded...

I personnaly like the Mazdaspeed or Fastpac hood. Sorry to hear about your accident man. Hopefully you'll be able to get something done to the car before our scenic drive in October.

jspecracer: Do you really have the RE Super G? I'd like to see how it looks.

That's my favorite in pictures, anyway.

It's hard to tell from the RX7.com site. Do the vents stick out off the hood?

Hey Scotty, don't be too discouraged. Yea, it sucks *****, and yea your car looks retarded right now, BUT....its the side you wanted hit, it messed up what you wanted messed up (*kinda*) and now you have a perfectly good reason to get the Feed front, Feed hood, and scoop. Also, the way the fender is bent roundish, I really think Jones can fix it. Its not wrinkled or anything. Did you look at the oil cooler anymore? Make sure its just that outer mounting bracket thats off, if its busted you need to get one, you dont want a massive oil loss later on down the road.

Smashed my brand new C-West Front,Hood, headlight and fender...also tore away the turning signal wires and fender lining...
I didnt have a chance to get anything special..how are u gonna get a diff bumper and hood out of this?

Insurance is going to pay for a new hood, bumper, fender, headlight, bumper reenforcement bar, some misc. plastic, alignment, and paint. I expect it to cost quite a bit but who knows. Hopefully a new bumper from Mazda is almost as expensive as the aftermarket one. Also the same goes for the hood and fender. We'll see tomorrow though. The insurance guy is supposed to meet me and get my estimate worked up.
