Pix: New GT35 FD I just picked up
Im new on here
I got this car off rx7jang from the forums.
This car cosmetically is simply flawless Im very excited about the car
I have a few problems with it...they seem to be relatively minor
A small oil leak at the oil pan which Im fixing today and Im thinking a vacum leak
wich is causing my idle to act all crazy. Sometimes it idles at 900 sometimes at 2k?? Doesnt surge up and down or anything just changes. I tried searching and found alot possibilities. Besides that car drives like a dream

Thanks everyone...I have wanted an FD since I was in highschool when the car first came out. Glad to be apart of this community
Honestly I rather not say
I didnt pay the firm asking price but I didnt steal it either. I feel that I got a very fair price considering the work done to the car and the condition of it. Car is about a 9.5 out of 10
Its wierd
I usually will start it up and it will idle high then drop to 900
OR
It will idle at 900 upon start up then after about 5 minutes idle at 2kish
A friend on here with a FD said he saw a uncapped vacum nipple located under the intake mani. Im assuming its that, if not maybe TPS or bad air pump.

I came again. On idle thing, is it only in warmups or just random? COuld be VAC line or TPS.

Yeah, make sure all the nipples have a cap or a good line and try adjusting the TPS.
