Had my primary fuel injectors out. I looked for this answer but can't find any information on this. There is a little notch in the bottom of the pintle cap, does it matter where this is relative to the intake passage?

Are you talking about the plastic spray deflector that is located under the primary fuel rail? (Item # 13-2061 No.2)

If so Mazda calls it a socket & it has a specific orentation (notch) that points to the left, towards the spark plugs.
