Exclamation Pinion gear on input shaft?

Alright, I am going to use the TORSEN diff off of a 3rd gen on my TII (or at least try), and I want to use the ring and pinion off of the 3rd gen's differential. But I need to get the pinion gear off of the input shaft of the diff. Because the input shaft of a TII is much longer.

So does anyone know how it comes off??? I've looked at it for a while, and it almost looks like it is make together, but that doesn't really make sensse because, I thought you could replace the ring and pinion gear if you wanted to.

Pinion gear and pinion shaft are usually made as one.
