I recently installed a new wastegate line and turbo pre control actuator line. I checked if it had the pills and it did. The reason why I ordered a new set is because the previuos owner didn't put back the stock lines when he removed his boost controller.

Anyway, i just stumbled on some info that the pills are two different sizes.
Wastegate-.062"
Pre control-.058"

I don't know if I installed the lines to the correct spots. I remember that one line had an extra protective layer of rubber and the other one didn't. Which line is which???

If I pull the lines back out , would I be able to see a noticeable difference in pill sizes? Any help would be appreciated.

 

I believe one hose is shorter than the other - if they fit ok, and you get a 10-8-10 boost pattern, they are correct. If they are switched, you'll get abnormal boost results.

Removed from the lines, the pills are hard to tell apart without a fancy gauge or something. I took a thin, tapered file, fit it into the hole and measured the depth that the file inserted - even that way, I wasn't 100% sure which was bigger.

Thanks man, the lines seems to go to where they need to go. I'll take her for a spin and see if I have a correct boost pattern.
